Etiquette:

  1. The player with the best score on the previous hole tees off first.

  2. Do not move or talk while someone is addressing or hitting the ball. If you think you can hit the group in front of you, do not hit.

  3. Make sure everyone is out of the way before you swing.

  4. Do not take too long to hit your ball. If you think you lost your ball, hit a provisional ball from the spot you just hit from. Do not search more than 5 minutes for a lost ball. If the ball is that important to you than let the group behind you pass. And once again, when they pass, if you think you can hit them then do not hit. After all putts are made, do not stand there and count your score or even write it on the scorecard. Get off the putting green and go to the next tee box. Write your scores in at the next tee box. If the group ahead of you gets more than one clear hole in front of you and the group behind you is waiting on you at every shot, then let them pass. While on a par 3 hole and your entire group is on the green and the next tee box is crowded with the group ahead of you, mark your balls and wave the group behind you up.

  5. A three-some or four-some should let a two-some pass if they are holding up the smaller group.

  6. Once you leave the bunker you should rake it of all ball, shoe, and club marks.

  7. Make sure you repair all divot holes to the putting green. While you repair your divot, repair someone else's also. This only takes 10-15 seconds.

  8. Do not throw your bags or the flagstick on the putting green. Keep your bags off the putting green. When placing the flagstick down, make sure you do not drop it and leave a mark on the putting green. The putting green is where you will make up all your shots for the day, so make sure you keep it in the best shape possible.

  9. Golf carts are not go-carts or bumper cars. Pay attention to local signs at the course, if it says 90degree rule than obey it. Drive the cart path until you reach your ball and then cut across the fairway to it. Do not park your cart in front of someone hitting(even if they are 50 yards back), it's distracting. Stop your cart while someone is hitting.

Do not tear up the course with your practice swings
